Territory Steward

General Information:
Nari appointed this gentleman to the Steward position to appease the conservative voices in Dhemlan.  He's older, and very traditional in his views.  He most likely isn't heartbound to Nari, and disapproves of many things in her court - such as the fact that she allows an Eyrian guard to serve so openly.  He may or may not be actively working against her.

Myeong Choe

General Information:
Nari's older sister, and a Priestess.  She was one of the Priestesses serving at the Dhemlan Dark Gate when the rebellion against Witch was being planned, and helped smuggle people in from Kaeleer.  She can either be Nari's Court Priestess or still serving in Shuki Province.  She has more contacts with Kaeleer than most Dhemlanese, and has been influenced by the cultures and people there more than might be considered 'proper' in Dhemlan.

Relationship: Older Sister, possibly Court Priestess

General Information: First Escort may not be the most prestigious position in a Dhemlan court, but that still makes him someone with the ear of the Territory Queen, which is nothing to sneeze at.  He may have been a member of the old Territory Queen's court enjoying a promotion to First Escort, or someone new that Nari brought in, possibly from her old court.  I'd like there to be some conflict between him and Nari - either because he's more conservation or perhaps because he's more radical than even she's comfortable with.

Ideas Wanted

These are more ideas I'd like to see in play in Dhemlan than specific characters.

Province Queens

Nari was chosen as Territory Queen based on the strength of her Jewels and her work when she was Province Queen, but that doesn't mean the other Province Queens are necessarily happy about it.  Especially since she's (relatively) young, and progressive.  I'd like there to be at least some Province Queens who think they should have become Territory Queen and/or ones who want to make sure Dhemlan stays close to its traditional roots.  Perhaps even some who think Witch had the right idea about spreading Dhemlan culture and influence to all the Realms and dislike that they're not able to pursue that any more.

Youth Agitators

These would be younger folk either not serving in courts or only serving in lower circles who chafe at the restrictions and stagnations in Dhemlan culture and want to bring about change *NOW*, not wait the decades or centuries it'll be before they have a chance to get into positions of power.  Might also include people who failed the Territory Exams and resent that their social advancement got cut off just because they're a bad test taker. 

I'd love characters who're likely to try to do something about it, rather than just talk and complain.  Violent things.  Deposing people type things.

Landen Rebels

The Dhemlanese landens are tired of being taxed and patronized and treated like crap.  And they're not going to take it any more!  Open rebellion is imminent, and I'd love to see actual PCs involved, especially on the landen side.  I'm interested in this being a sort of rebellion where there isn't a clear 'right' or 'wrong' side and nothing is going to be solved just by killing the other side.  Even if a lot of the leaders seem to believe that's the solution.
